Congratulations on your vehicle purchase!

As one of the most important investments you've made, rest assured that your vehicle is now protected. We've compiled a bunch of tips and tricks on how to maintain your vehicle.

Paint Surface Coating

Do not wash the vehicle with any car wash/shampoo for the first 3 days. Paint surface coatings unique curing process takes around 3 days and during this time use only clear water to remove contaminates from the surface. Once the curing time has elapsed, follow the instructions as below:

  • Hand wash your vehicle as required using a pH neutral car wash/shampoo.We recommend using HYDRO Car Shampoo which has been formulated to be completely compatible with your paint surface coating.
  • Avoid using car washes/shampoos that contain degreasers or solvents and do not polish the vehicle. These products may affect the life of the coating.
  • Do not take the vehicle through automated car washes that use abrasive washing actions or harsh chemicals – this also has the potential to damage the coating.
  1. Prior to washing, thoroughly hose your vehicle to dislodge loose dirt/contaminates. Washing your car in the shade when the metal is cool will prevent premature evaporation of the HYDRO shampoo and produce the best results.
  2.  Mix 2 caps of HYDRO shampoo in a 10 litre bucket of water (warm water if possible).
  3. Use a clean sponge and dip into the bucket, washing the vehicle from top panels down. Rinse the sponge after washing each panel to dislodge any contaminates that may have accumulated in the sponge during the washing process.
  4. Thoroughly rinse the shampoo residue from your vehicle.
  5. For best results, chamois the vehicle dry using a good quality chamois.

Contaminates such as bird & bat droppings, tree sap and bug splatter are highly corrosive and should be removed from the painted surface of your vehicle as soon as possible.

Do not scrub, pick-off the stain or use any abrasive cleaners. This may damage the painted surface.

Use neat (undiluted) HYDRO shampoo on the affected area allowing the shampoo to soak and moisten the area before removing, then wash as per above instructions.

In the event you are unsuccessful in removing the contaminate, contact MotorOne in your state.

Window Tint

  • Do not wind down windows for at least 48 hours after installation.
  • Do not clean the glass during the drying period, normally 21 days.
  • To clean, we recommend you simply apply soapy water and wipe off lightly with a soft cloth.
  • Do not use abrasive cloths, brushes, powders or ammonia-based products.
  • It is recommended that a microfibre cloth be used.
  • An almost visible, very fine splice or join line may appear on windows which require two or more section of film to completely cover the given area.
  • This is not a fault in the film. The barely visible clear border around the edges ensures that the film is properly bonded to the glass.
  • A slightly hazy or milky appearance caused by the water between the film and glass will quickly disappear along with any bubbles.
  • Small particles or ‘points’ may remain.
  • These are generally only visible for the outside and inherent to film adhesives.
  • They do not affect the performance of the film in any way.
